2nd quake

once again Christchurch has had a big earth quake and even though this one was 6.3 and the first one was 7.2 this one has done more damage and has killed.
my brothers flat is in Christchurch and it is condemned so bad that he may not get his stuff back. (he is fine)
i hope That this is the last quake for Christchurch.
three men were removing the pipe organ and then the quake hit then the church just collapsed and they died...
this is one of NZ's darkest day...

my first few weeks back to school!

on my first day back to school I saw all my friends, people I know and new faces.
It was sad to see that some people have left to go of to high school.
the thing our whole school is studying is picture books it might seem babyish but we are reading big kid picture books. my favorite book so far is looking like me.
the first term of the year always has swimming, bikes, scooters and lots of things with wheels ( I bring my scooter)
When we go over to Room 1 we do art and study. we have been studying a remarkable new Zealand person and i chose Stan Walker because i found a lot of info about him.
and my favorite... ART! we have done two posters one about our self ( mine is fabulous!) and one about our dream land and mine is called " Grayce Pooh's jungle ville" and it is AWESOME!

the year that was 2010

2010 has been an amazing year that I will always remember. There were so many exciting memories’ that are very special to me. They are dance, prize giving, Cultural festival and AG DAY.

Dance has been my favourite of all because I love dancing it makes me feel so exultant and amazing! I also love dance because I love costumes and performing!

Prize giving, what an amazing time it is, with dance, certificates, trophies and many more things people enjoy like Santa. Prize giving is my favourite part of the year!

The Cultural festival was an AMAZING! Experience for me. I loved feeling like I was a super star dancing on stage. I love dancing and performing so the Cultural festival was perfect for me! I danced the cha-cha!

And last but certainly not least AG DAY! I bought my mice Ruby, Sparky and Luna to compete in the pet competition and like last year I came first! I won a trophy, two certificates and two ribbons! AG DAY was one of my favourite parts of the year!

2010 I will always remember and never forget. It will always keep in my memory’s and head!        

The week that was!

Back at school! Waiting for my friends to come! One walks thru the door “HI!!” I’m always happy to see my friends!

When class started we had to do an AsTTle test. It was kind of hard but I know that I did really well.

In reading we have been learning about how to read instructions and my grope has made a leaf compass but they did not work so we tried to make a photo frame and I have done 2 and they turned out COOL!!!!!

At play time me and my friends Jayde and Kayla sometimes climb trees if the weather is fine and Jayde always climbs to the top of the tree, one time she almost fell when she was coming down so she jumped out of the tree. Me and Kayla stay low and swing of strong branches!

When we go to room 1 we learn about kia-kaha [be strong] and being strong means standing up for yourself so were learning about bullies.

After kia-kaha we learn about first aid with Carmen, Moio’s mum and we’ve learned the dangers about going to save someone who is injured.

     

  

my birthday over and done!

it was my birth day on s....... and i had a super fun party!
it was a harry potter theme and 10 of my friends came to my party!
it was 3 hours long and it was F.U.N!
i dressed up as moaning Mertle a ghost [if you don't know who moaning Mertle is than you have not seen harry potter 2 the chamber of secretes or 4 the goblet of fire]

Skyping my Dad

My Dad went on a weld inspector’s course in Auckland this week.  We skyped each other to keep in touch.
